A winemaker in a garage
The beginning, in 1998, took place in a family garage in Peñafiel (Valladolid), where everything was manual, no machines. Little by Little the first wines began to be sold in the same garage, but quickly it became too small.

Climbing up towards success
In 2010 a wine magazine very well known nationally had the first wine tasting of Alfredo’s wines, and it had wonderful results, awaking interest in people, wine critics and some wine importers about Alfredo’s wines.

Jump to the international world
Like all the important things in life, our jump to the international world was by coincidence. In 2010 an important importer in the USA tried Alfredo’s wines in a wine bar in Madrid and he wanted to work with him immediately.

What Alfredo Maestro likes the most about this wine sector is that he always has something else to learn. During his continuous trips abroad he keeps trying new things and discovering new truly incredible flavors from places where he would never think making wine was an option.
PRESENT & FUTURE
Next goals
The following most important objective for Alfredo Maestro is to strengthen the areas where he works the vineyards: to understand them deeply and to obtain the best from these recovered vineyards. Moreover, he wants to gradually improve the working area of the winery in order to make it more functional. Finally, he wants to continue studying the new techniques and market trends.

The following most important objective for Alfredo Maestro is to strengthen the areas where he works the vineyards: to understand them deeply and to obtain the best from these recovered vineyards. Moreover, he wants to gradually improve the working area of the winery in order to make it more functional. Finally, he wants to continue studying the new techniques and market trends.
From the beginning Alfredo decided not to intoxicate or contaminate the soil and plants of the vineyards, he considered biodynamics to be a human vision and a very sensitive relationship between men and other living beings.
When he started, Alfredo did not have any plan in mind.
He decided not to take any specific direction, he just started walking on his path of learning wine elaboration and he did it in a very simple way: not intervening in the elaboration of wine. Despite the fact that in his self-taught formations what was established was to alter the wine by adding “everything” to it, he decided to choose a more natural path.
Such philosophy was quickly applied to the vineyard:
How could he poison the soil where the plants that produce the grapes grew and then take that wine to his family?
For Alfredo it made no sense.
He has the unconditional support of his family… although at the beginning it was hard…
His children used to complain due to his absence at home when he had to stay in the garage building a dream.
With time everything everything started to take shape and he still has the unconditional support of his family.
Will his children continue his dream… only time will tell!
